Wagako 我が子 (my own child) - Feature Film
Tom, in her thirties, her Japanese wife Saki, and their 4-year-old son Genki, travel to Japan. Tom, who does not speak the language, is as thrilled as she is intimidated by the idea of discovering this country and seeing her in-laws again. But the joy of their reunion turns to tragedy when Saki suddenly dies of an aneurysm. Overnight, Saki's mother clames that it is now her duty to raise her grandson and cuts Tom out of their lives. Devastated by grief, in a country where the law does not recognize her rights, Tom will fight to remain the mother of her child.
